With the advancement of China's education reform,education is paying more and more attention to students' future life,and career education is increasingly valued.The six-year government-funded normal education is a measure taken by the hunan provincial government to promote the development of rural education in the province.However,in the process of education,there are some problems,such as students' professional ideals and beliefs are shaken,their sense of professional identity is not strong,and graduates of government-funded normal university students break their contracts.This paper studies the career education of six-year free normal students to enhance students' professional identity and promote their career ideals for lifelong education in China.By using the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey,interview and statistical analysis,this paper innovatively analyzes the career development of six-year free normal students from the perspective of geography,and explores the problems and feasible paths faced by their geography teaching infiltration career education.This paper analyzes the problems from the three aspects of students,curriculum system and geography teachers,namely:(1)the level of students' self-control needs to be strengthened,the self-cognition is vague,the occupational cognition is shallow,the career planning operation ability is weak,and the professional quality needs to be improved.;(2)there are fewer hours of career education courses,and less explicit associations between geography and career education;(3)geography teachers lack career awareness and teaching ability.Combining the analysis of the curriculum system and the investigation of teachers and students,it is proposed that the career education content that should be infiltrated in the geography teaching of secondary vocational education includes self-control,professional cognition,geographical comprehensive thinking and geographical practice.Finally,this paper analyzes the feasible ways to infiltrate career education into the geography course teaching of six-year free normal students from the aspects of improving the school management mechanism,optimizing the content of geography teaching materials,and teaching in and out of geography classes.The improvement of the school's management mechanism is the premise and guarantee for geography teaching to permeate vocational education.In the geography textbook,it is necessary to expand the content of the implied career education and add the content of career education.In the geography classroom teaching,it is necessary to flexibly use a variety of teaching methods,such as teaching methods,situational experience methods,words and deeds,and so on.In the extracurricular teaching,it mainly infiltrates from two aspects: extracurricular activities and extracurricular activities.
