The Application And Practice Of Case Teaching Method In Middle School Biology Health Education

As the development of the society,human health becomes more and more important.Middle school period is of great importance for physical and mental growth of humans.A suitable health education can enable them to form a good living habit.Biology,as a primary course in middle school,concerns closely to health education.What researchers focus on is the present condition of middle school health education and the effective ways of applying health education in biology course.By analysis of health education knowledge in middle school biology textbook,biology shall be the preferential subject for health education.To know the health education condition of middle school students,the present study adopts questionnaire survey method.In the survey,students did not pay due attention to the health education knowledge in biology.By the survey,students also showed an active attitude towards health life,but they were in a lack of good health habit.This prevails that the lack of health knowledge have a bad effect on students health habits.Health means a lot to human life,so the textbook should combine biology theory with practical case,and encourage to introduce more case in teaching to inspire students’ interests.The present study will combine daily life health cases with biology theory,and educate students by case teaching.Conclusion can be drawn as follows: 1)The case teaching of health education in middle school biology course is not effective in the acquisition of health knowledge.2)The case teaching of health education in middle school biology course can improve the attention of health.By discussion and analysis the case,students become gradually aware of the significance of health.3)Case teaching can make students apply their health knowledge in daily life,to improve their ability of using knowledge to solve real problems.
