Over the last 20 years,Cambodia has experienced and enjoyed significant social-economic and political stability improvement,primarily through foreign direct investment on low tech industry and unskilled cheap labor workforce;However;as the country trying to diversify the country economic though industry development policy in order to enhance the people living standard and sustainable development.One of the major obstacle to the goal is Cambodia has low industry competitive advantage in term of mainly due to overwhelming of low skilled and unskilled workforces.To address the challenges,the government issue the Industry Development Policy focus on attracting more industries which intern stress the important of skill workforce and industry diversification which highlight the important of human resource development under TVET especially women,and the people living in rural areas.In addition,there are some other factors that affect females not to participate in their study.Social norm on gender relations remains a major challenge in expanding vocational training opportunity for girls and women.Low level education of the parents,domestic violent,and poverty are also serious obstacle in ensuring the children's education.This study research aims to explore for improvement of female students participating in Technical Vocational Education and Training system in Cambodia.The specific objectives include: to find out the reasons of low rate of females attended in Technical Vocational Education and Training program.And find the ways to improve numbers of female students to TVET Program in order to enhance the competency and improve their living standard as well as economy.This study is conducted in order to investigate the teachers' and students' perceptions who are teaching and learning in TVET program on the enrolment of female students in TVET institutions.The study uses the qualitative research technique and data collection through questionnaire.The fill-in questionnaire of 200 teachers and students are collected and analysis by using SPSS software.The major findings of this study would be significant to Ministry Labor and Vocational Training,TVET institutions,school administrators,teachers,and students.However,the findings of the study will exposed the various factors affecting participation of female in technical education programs which will enable government and other stakeholders to take actions to the issue of low participation of female in technical education programs.The study also provides useful information and helpful data that contribute to improve the enrolment of female students in public TVET institutions in Cambodia.It also helps the training institutions and responsible leaders and managers better understand and take actions to remedy and solve the challenges and issues of the TVET programs.
