A Practical Study On The Involvement Of Social Work In Community Participation Of The Elderly

With the advance of the aging of the population,the number of the elderly group is growing.However,from the perspective of social human resources,a large part of the elderly also has certain ability,willingness and possibility of social participation.Social participation is an important need of the elderly,which also plays an important role in alleviating their negative self-knowledge,expanding their interpersonal interaction and realizing their self-value.At the same time,the report of the 19 th national congress also proposed to actively deal with the aging population in the new period.Under the policy of active aging,it is necessary to guide more elderly people to participate in the society,update their concepts and behaviors of providing for the aged,change the fixed concepts of the society on the elderly,and at the same time,and make efforts to create a community environment suitable for the elderly to live actively and healthily.Therefore,the research on how to promote the social participation of the elderly should also become an important part of the research on elderly care.Social work can play an active role in promoting the social participation of the elderly.Faced with the problems of the elderly's lack of motivation to participate in society,their insufficient ability to participate in society,and the obstacles in the social participation environment,social work can effectively intervene in mobilizing the elderly to participate,improving their ability and awareness of participation,and coordinating the interaction between different participants.Which model of social work is more suitable for intervention? How can social workers step in? The answer to these questions is the focus of this paper.This study takes D community of Dongguan city as the research object.This paper uses case study method,literature study method,interview method and questionnaire method.This paper takes the perspective of empowerment theory as the analytical framework,and makes use of the method of "building people" in the model of community building to intervene from the level of self-knowledge,interpersonal relationship and community participation of the elderly.From the perspective of the intervention process and the intervention effect of social workers,the research has the following findings: At the level of self-knowledge of the elderly,social workers play the role of guider,resource linker and supporter.By improving the elderly's participation behavior and ability to participate,they can improve the elderly's participation confidence and self-ability.By improving the elderly's sense of participation and ability to participate,the elderly can improve their participation self-confidence,improve their understanding of self-ability,so as to change the elderly's attitude to community participation,improve the elderly community participation behavior.In the interpersonal interaction of the elderly,social workers,as companions and coordinators,are committed to assisting the elderly to expand their communication and interaction with the outside world.By assisting the elderly to establish and develop self-organization and develop solid interpersonal relationships,the motivation and willingness of the elderly to participate in the community are improved,which is conducive to improving the sustainability of the elderly's community participation behavior.At the environmental level of community participation,social workers are the companions of the elderly in the community.By helping to improve the family environment and community environment in which the elderly participate in the community,social workers promote the elderly to contribute their own strength to community development and participate in community governance,and realize the personal value and social value of the elderly.It also improves the evaluation of the elderly in the social environment and creates a positive and friendly environment for the elderly to continue to participate in the community.In addition,for the challenges encountered by social workers in the process of intervention,this paper also puts forward corresponding Suggestions,in order to better promote the development of social work in the intervention of the elderly in social participation.
