The expansion of the scale of higher education leads to more and more college students entering the labor market.Under the condition of relatively stable employment,there is a "contradiction between supply and demand" in the employment of college students.In recent years,graduate students also face the imbalance between employment demand and market supply.According to the present form,the enrollment scale of graduate students is still expanding,the number of graduate students graduating every year remains high,and the demand for jobs is relatively stable,which makes the employment competition of master students become very fierce.It is more and more difficult for graduate students to find employment.Is it because of lack of employability or high expectation of career choice? How does employability affect career choices? How to improve the competitiveness of graduate students in the process of career selection? The purpose of this study is to do this research.The method of interview and questionnaire is used to collect the data,and based on this,the relevant research conclusions are obtained by the method of econometric statistical analysis.First of all,through combing the literature,combining with the basis of previous research,according to the needs of this research,scientific and effective selection of the employment capacity,career choice indicators,through pre-survey data to measure the reliability and validity of the scale.On the basis of ensuring the scientific nature of the questionnaire,a formal questionnaire was issued to 6 universities in Xinjiang.Through the statistical analysis of the recovered questionnaires,the main findings are as follows:(1).There are differences in the employment ability of graduate students in Xinjiang colleges and universities,and there is no significant difference in gender and specialty;There are significant differences in the results of career selection among ethnic groups,colleges and universities and majors.(2).In terms of specific career choices,the Party and government units,state-owned enterprises and public institutions are still preferred by graduate students,and the job selection generally requires the correspondence between the job position and the major;Half of the graduate students in salary level are between 4,000 yuan and 6000 yuan;the majority of career satisfaction is above basic satisfaction.(3).From the regression result: the stronger the general ability of graduate students,the stronger the scientific research ability,the higher the success rate of career choice;The stronger the general ability,the stronger the scientific research ability has a significant impact on the nature of the unit,the specialty-to-mouth nature,the salary level,and the overall career satisfaction,that is,the stronger the graduate studentsundefined employability,the more inclined they are to choose the hot units and their professional counterparts.The higher the employability of graduate students is,the higher the salary level is,and the higher the overall satisfaction with the occupation.Based on the above empirical results,combined with the specific situation of Xinjiang colleges and universities,individual graduate students,government and employers,relevant policy suggestions are put forward to improve graduate studentsundefined employability and career choice.
