Preschool stage is the key period of children’s language development.Due to the bilingual education of Chinese preschool children in Singapore,the expression of Chinese vocabulary shows certain particularity,which is of great research significance.In this paper,60 Chinese preschool children aged 5-6 in Singapore are selected as the research objects.Through interviews,questionnaires and other research methods,the actual corpus of preschool children’s vocabulary expression is collected.On this basis,the total number of Chinese vocabulary,high-frequency words,low-frequency words and community words are counted,and the phenomena of pause,vocabulary errors and English-Chinese mixing are analyzed.Finally,combined with the results of the questionnaire,the factors affecting vocabulary expression are analyzed,and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.Through the study,the following conclusions are drawn:Firstly,the total vocabulary of Chinese preschool children aged 5-6 in Singapore is 1093,most of which are nouns;the most frequently used are verbs,which can cover 94.1% of the total content of children’s expression.Most of the high-frequency words are words with specific meanings and are closely related to children’s daily life.Secondly,in the process of vocabulary expression of Chinese preschool children in Singapore,there are many problems such as pause,repetition and correction,which affect the fluency of children’s vocabulary expression.English-Chinese mixing and vocabulary errors are common,and the accuracy of Chinese vocabulary expression still needs to be improved.Thirdly,Singaporean Chinese preschool children’s vocabulary expression is mainly influenced by social contact,school education and family context,among which family context is the most important factor.Finally,in view of the problems found in the survey,four suggestions are put forward,namely,to create a good language environment for children to learn Chinese in the family,to increase children’s Chinese contacts in the social environment with the help of social resources,to optimize the curriculum system and education mode of kindergarten Chinese education,and to promote the effective development of children’s Chinese education through multi-cooperation.
