Practical Research On Using Video Resources To Improve High School Geography Classroom Teaching Efficiency

With the rapid development of information technology,the application of multimedia technology in classroom teaching is becoming more and more popular.Classroom teaching mode is changing from traditional to modern.Pushed by comprehensively deepening the reform of education curriculum,Geography as an important basic education courses,through the rich geographical curriculum resources to promote the further development of curriculum reform.The application of video in geography classroom teaching can enrich course resources and provide a way to cultivate the quality of geography subject.With students as the subject of learning,teachers can enrich classroom teaching forms and guide students to study independently by using modern information technology.More and more frontline teachers have adopted video resources in geography class,and teachers should pay attention to how to effectively use video resources in teaching practice.Based on a large number of literature studies,this paper sorted out the definitions of geography classroom teaching efficiency,geography course resources and video teaching,and summarized the theoretical basis and research significance of using video resources to assist high school geography classroom teaching.Questionnaires were designed for high school geography teachers and students of all grades in Qionglai city Pingle middle school,and interviews were conducted with the teachers.Through the statistics and analysis of the questionnaire survey results and the author’s teaching practice in Pingle middle school for three years,the author learned that teachers attach importance to the use of video resources in classroom teaching and achieved good teaching results.However,there are many problems in the teaching process,for example,teachers have single access to video resources,they are not familiar with the editing software of video,it is difficult to deal with video,it takes a long time to prepare lessons,teaching efficiency is not stable and class hours are tense.Through thinking and analyzing the above problems,under the guidance of audio-visual teaching theory,constructivism theory and independent learning theory,combined with practice,the corresponding countermeasures are proposed: diversified access to video resources,collection and sorting of video resource database;Strengthen teachers’ learning of modern educational technology and improve the editing and processing ability of video resources;In the teaching process,the video application strategy,the selection of video before class,the selection of the number and time of video broadcasting,the selection of video broadcasting links,the selection of videobroadcasting methods,the timely feedback and summary of students after class;Strengthen teaching and research group video application discussion.In the teaching of Qionglai Pingle middle school,the author took the above measures and carried out half-semester teaching practice for the classes.It can be seen from the comparison between mid-term and final examination results that video resource-assisted teaching is conducive to improving teaching quality,improving students’ learning autonomy and improving teachers’ professional skills.The author expects that the research in this paper can help front-line teachers in geography classroom teaching,attract more teachers’ attention and in-depth research,and further improve the high school geography teaching efficiency.
