Influenced by China's National Conditions and differences in the development level of social work services,social work professionalization in Mainland China is more likely driven by specialization of education and practice.Thus,"Education-Priority" has become one of the most important characteristics during the development history of social work industry in China.Benefitted from the prevailing trend of the "Reform and Opening up",Guangzhou city in Guangdong Province has been earlier influenced by the concept and experience of social work in Hong Kong,Macao and Singapore other countries or regions,also the abundant university resources,Guangzhou's social work service has become one of the benchmarks of social work service in the whole country,at this stage.Among them,university teachers play an indispensable role in the development of social work industry in Guangzhou.They participate in the construction of social work practice in different forms like founding social work organizations,but there have different evaluation voices toward them.From the perspective of the development process of social work industry,how to develop social work in Guangzhou in a sustainable and orderly way in the future,regardless of government departments,universities and the general public,all need to participate in it.It is valuable to understand the history of this development.The main contribution of this study is to sort out the process and path of College teachers' participation in the construction of social work practice in the development of social work industry in Guangzhou.This paper taking Ecosystem Theory as the main perspective,chosing serval leaders and founders of social work organizations,university teachers from several universities,and some representatives of social work graduates in Guangzhou,as research objects.The author use the methods of field research and literature research,this paper analyses the ecosystem of College teachers' participation in the construction of social work practice and the interaction between different levels and elements at different stages of development.Based on the analysis of the roles,contributions,challenges and difficulties of College teachers' participation in the construction of social work practice in different stages of the development of the industry,this paper sums up the general path of College teachers' participation in the construction of social work practice,and affirms that college teachers have made important contributions to the development of social work industry in Guangzhou.At the same time,according to the development characteristics and challenges of Guangzhou's social work industry,this paper puts forward some localization suggestions towards the university teachers.Firstly,paying attention to social work education,and to improve professional teaching quality.Secondly,paying attention to the governance of leading institutions,gradually empowering and adjusting roles.Thirdly,focusing on results summary and research,multi-participation in promoting the development of the industry,and so on.
