In the context of the intensified population mobility and the rapid development of new-type urbanization, the number of young migrant workers in Yuan Village in Western Hunan keeps increasing in recent years. However, with the promotion of the supportive policies for entrepreneurship and employment for returning labor forces in Western Hunan, the impact brought by the financial crisis, and their "duality" in social integration, the young migrant workers in Yuan Village begin to wander and struggle in the choice of "returning home" and "keeping flowing".This paper first divides social integration into five dimensions: economic integration, social participation, institutional integration, cultural acceptance and psychological identity.Based on the self-tuning data, the social integration and backflow of the young migrant workers in Yuan Village are described, and it analyzes the correlation between the two.Secondly, the impact of social integration on the backflow of the young migrant workers in Yuan Village is analyzed using multivariate linear regression and multivariate logistic regression.Based on the interview data, the fundamental reasons behind social integration and backflow are explored, partial contents are supplemented at the micro level, and the conclusions are verified. Finally, policy recommendations based on the premise of improving the integration quality are put forward. With the “small group” of young migrant workers in Yuan Village as the entry point and expressing the whole through details as the aim,the following conclusions are drawn.Firstly, economic integration is the basic factor for the residence of floating population, but it only significantly affects the residence intention of people with low economic ability in a short period of time.Housing conditions significantly affect the residence intention of floating population.Personal income satisfaction has a significant impact on people with low income, while social security has no significant impact.Secondly, social participation is the main factor affecting the migration of young people in the village. The “internal and external points” and “urban and rural differences” that are constantly being dissolved in social interaction are conducive to enhancing their willingness to stay.Thirdly, cultural acceptance as a catalytic factor affecting reflow does not completely affect the willingness to stay.Language adaptation has no significant influence on the residence intention. The higher the social and cultural identity is,the stronger the residence intention will be.Fourthly, incomplete institutional integration which is an implicit factor significantly affects the residence intention. The perceived difficulty of naturalization is not positively correlated with the residence intention. However, the higher the satisfaction of children's integration in the education system is,the stronger the residence intention will be.Fifthly, incomplete psychological identity as a constructive factor significantly affects the residence intention.Integration intention and identity recognition are positively correlated with the residence intention. The impact of social status perception on residence intention is not obvious due to its dynamic changes.Although the mobile youths have different life development processes and mobility choices, under the influence of social integration “duality”,the difference between the hometown and the guests in other places has become an important reason for their return and residence.
