With the continuous development of the world economy,exchanges between Cambodia and China have become more frequent.In addition to political and economic exchanges,cultural exchanges have become one of the important exchanges between countries.Every year,China has enrolled a large number of international students to study in China,which has formed a trend of studying in China.Among them,Cambodian students are part of it.Cambodian international students have their own characteristics,so some of the current research results for international students are not fully applicable to Cambodian students.This article will study and analyze the cross-cultural adaptation of Cambodian students in China and its causes.This article has three chapters.The introduction mainly introduces the background,research purposes,research significance,theoretical basis and research summary of cross-culture.The first chapter introduces the research object,research methods,the overall design of the survey and the specific problem description.The second chapter is the core of this paper.Statistics and analysis are based on the results obtained from the survey.The overall situation of cross-cultural adaptation of Cambodian students is high in learning adaptation,social and cultural adaptation,intercultural communication,life adaptation and psychological adaptation.This paper surveys five provinces and cities where’ Cambodian students are more concentrated.It is found that the degree of cross-cultural adaptation of Cambodian students in each province is not the same.The best adaptation of Cambodian students in Beijing is to adapt and adapt.It is communicative adaptation;the best adaptability of Cambodian students in Yunnan is learning adaptation,while the least adaptable is social and cultural adaptation;the best adaptability of Cambodian students in Shanghai is learning adaptation,while the least adaptable is psychological.Adaptation;the best adaptability of Cambodian students in Wuhan is learning adaptation,while the least adaptable is life adaptation;the best adaptability of Cambodian students in Guangzhou is learning adaptation,and the lowest is psychological adaptation.In the five dimensions of cross-cultural adaptation,the Cambodian international students in Shanghai have the highest level of learning adaptation,while the Cambodian international students in Guangzhou have the lowest level of psychological adaptation.The third chapter is the conclusion,summarizing the findings and problems,and making recommendations on related issues.This thesis takes cross-cultural adaptation as the research perspective,and conducts cross-cultural adaptation research on Cambodian students in China from five aspects:social adaptation,life adaptation,learning adaptation,intercultural communication adaptation and psychological adaptation.The survey results show that the overall cross-cultural adaptability of international students in Cambodia is good.The study found that the personal factors of Cambodian students have a significant impact on intercultural communication adaptability is the level of learning and Chinese.
