A Study On The Cause And Management Of Academic Boredom Among Students In Secondary Vocational School

Chinese secondary vocational education has made outstanding contributions in promoting employment expansion,targeted poverty alleviation and promoting regional economic development.However,there are still many problems in its development,among which students' academic boredom is a serious problem faced by secondary vocational schools.It is of great significance for the healthy development of secondary school education and management for secondary school students.This study took four secondary vocational schools in Nanchang city as an example and conducted a survey on 490 secondary vocational students with the methods of cluster sampling by using questionnaire of secondary vocational students' academic boredom.The research showed that the academic boredom was more common among secondary vocational students,with more than 2/3 of the students showing mild boredom and less than 1/3 of the students showing moderate or severe boredom.In terms of demographic variables,male students are slightly more likely to be boredom than female students,and male students are significantly more likely to be boredom than female students in terms of social and family reasons.In terms of grades,learning weariness and learning behaviors show a serious trend with the increase of grades.Social reasons,family reasons and their own reasons also show a significant increase trend with the improvement of grades.In terms of majors,student cadres,left-behind and fathers' occupation,there were no significant differences in learning weariness,learning behaviors and four influencing factors.In terms of the source of students,urban students are slightly higher than rural students in terms of learning weariness and behavior,and the influence of school reasons,family reasons and their own reasons on urban students is significantly greater than that on rural students.In terms of academic performance,academic boredom tend to be more serious with the worse academic performance,and social reasons,school reasons,family reasons and their own reasons have a greater impact on students with lower academic performance.Regression analysis shows that three factors,self cause,family cause and social cause,have entered the equation.Based on the results of the empirical survey,this study believes that social influences,social values and network pop culture;School enrollment system,management idea,management method,teaching mode and method;Parents' learning choice,learning expectation and parenting style;Students' physical and mental quality,cultural foundation and development goals are all important reasons for students' academic boredom.Finally,this study proposed that in terms of society,good public opinion and correct social concept should be created for career education to promote positive development of secondary education.At the school level,good school spirit and academic atmosphere should be created to promote the healthy development of students in secondary vocational schools.In the family scope,we should build the harmonious family atmosphere,strengthen the coordinated management between family and school;in the aspect of individuals themselves,we should strengthen the ability of psychological adjustment of secondary vocational students and improve their vocational and technical skills.Only when the society,school,family and students work together and cooperate with each other and self-management,can we effectively overcome students' boredom and improve the quality of education teaching in secondary vocational schools.
