The Investigation And Research On The Present Situation Of Secondary Vocational School Students’ Academic Planning

In order to enhance the status and attraction of vocational education,the state has established the type status of vocational education and proposed that the orientation of talent cultivation in secondary vocational education should change from a single employment orientation to a mixed orientation emphasizing both employment and further education.Facing the new requirement,the secondary vocational education should keep pace with the times and take up more responsibilities,not only cultivating middle and junior technical skill talents,but also focusing on cultivating students’ core abilities,laying a foundation for students’ further education and helping them achieve their career goals.Faced with the rapid development of the social economy and the constantly changing professional needs,vocational school students also need to comprehensively improve their own qualities to adapt to the challenges of the future workplace.In these contexts,academic planning provides ideas for secondary vocational education to adapt to changes and cultivate talents,playing a crucial role on the road to success for secondary vocational students.Developing effective learning plans and clear academic goals can help students improve their learning efficiency and performance,cultivate their core competencies and help them lay a solid foundation for future development.Based on the theory of management by objectives,this dissertation uses the questionnaire survey method and the interview method to study the current situation of secondary vocational students’ academic planning,discusses the reasons for the low level of academic planning of secondary vocational students and then gives suggestions for them to enhance the level of academic planning.First,the questionnaire and the interview outline are designed respectively according to the scientific steps.After the implementation of the questionnaire survey and the interview,the collected data is analyzed respectively and the current situation and existing problems of secondary vocational students’ academic planning are found: secondary vocational students lack the awareness of academic planning and the overall level is relatively not high;the guiding system of academic planning in secondary vocational schools is not perfect and the forms of guiding activities are not abundant;secondary vocational students’ families neglect the guidance on students’ academic planning.Further analysis shows that secondary vocational students are affected by both personal factors and external factors,which lead to the low level of academic planning.Finally,guided by the theory of management by objectives and drawing on the excellent practices of vocational schools and advanced experiences abroad,this dissertation puts forward the following suggestions to enhance the academic planning level of secondary vocational students.Secondary vocational students,as the implementers of academic planning,need to make an effort in every aspect of the academic planning to break through their own limitations,continuously improve their academic planning level and finally achieve their academic goals.The schools should play a leading role in holding a variety of activities to enhance the awareness and ability of secondary vocational students in academic planning,compile academic planning courses in line with the school situation and cultivate professional teachers to guide secondary vocational students in academic planning;the schools can also make full use of the influence of peers to hold various activities to guide secondary vocational students to plan their studies.Families,especially parents,should change their ideas,attach importance to students’ academic planning,actively participate in students’ academic planning process and then provide necessary guidance and help for students.
