As one of the three major styles of middle-school Chinese in the "New Curricular Standard",practical texts are far less important in actual teaching than texts and literary texts.It is rare for current researches specially targeting at practical texts,but in fact,practical texts occupy a very significant position in middle-school Chinese teaching,the value of which need to be explored.Therefore,in this article,the study was carried out with the middle-school practical texts as the main research objects.This article mainly elaborates from the following aspects:The introduction part put forward the questions,analyzed the current research status of practical texts in recent years,and pointed out the significance of this study and the methods used in this study.The main text was divided into three chapters:Chapter 1 explained the relationship between practical texts and Chinese language education.This chapter first defined the concept of practical texts,pointed out the requirements of the "New Curriculum Standard" for practical text teaching,taking the 2004 PEP middle-school Chinese textbook as an example,analyzing the selection of practical texts in the textbooks>then discussed the teaching art of practical texts,and finally analyzed the relationship between practical texts and college entrance examinations.Chapter 2 analyzed the problems and causes of the middle-school practical text teaching.The main problems included the confusion of practical texts and other styles,lack of practical text writing teaching,lack of attention to discontinuous texts?confusion of teaching objectives,and disconnection between learning and examination.The reasons behind these problems were insufficient self-cultivation of teachers,lack of understanding of practical texts,and unsynchronized learning and examination contents.Chapter 3 raised solutions and improvement strategies for the problems analyzed in the previous chapter.This part was mainly divided into five aspects:improving professional quality of teachers,cultivating students' interests,attaching importance to the teaching of practical text writing,synchronizing learning and examination contents,emphasis to discontinuous texts.
