The importance of cultural teaching in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language has been widely recognized,but there is no clear guideline for “teaching what?” “How to teach?” We know that culture and language are interdependent and interdependent.In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,cultural teaching at different stages will also differ in content setting and teaching methods.With the improvement of China's international influence,more and more people are paying more and more attention to China,and through various ways to understand China,and learning Chinese is the most convenient way.With the increase in the number of overseas Chinese learners and the different purposes of learning,higher teaching requirements are also put forward for the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language teacher: in addition to teaching learners Chinese ontology,foreign language teachers should also pay attention to learners' Chinese cultural knowledge.Cultivate and comprehensively improve learners' intercultural communication skills.However,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has focused on language teaching for many years.The lack of attention to cultural teaching has made cultural teaching relatively weak.Therefore,this paper uses ASEAN questionnaires,teacher interviews,and classroom observations to The current situation of the teaching of Chinese culture in Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School is a case study.The problems in the teaching of cultural courses in the school are discussed.Some suggestions for improving the teaching of culture are proposed for these problems.I hope that Chinese teachers can teach Chinese as a foreign language.Provide lessons for the teaching of the class,and contribute to the better development of students' intercultural communication skills.This paper mainly elaborates from four aspects:The introduction part mainly introduces the purpose and significance of the topic selection,summarizes the research status of cultural coursesteaching at home and abroad,and lists the research objects and methods.The first chapter mainly introduces the general situation of Chinese teaching in Phuket and the current situation of Chinese culture teaching.Through the visits to 13 schools in Phuket and the questionnaires and interviews of the corresponding Chinese teachers,the status quo and related problems of the Chinese culture teaching in Phuket were summarized.The second chapter is about the investigation of the current situation of Chinese culture teaching in Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School,including the history of the school,the setting of the cultural course,the teacher strength of the culture class,the content of the culture course and the summary of the teaching methods.At the same time,through the after-school interviews of the relevant cultural teachers and the questionnaire survey of the students' cultural studies,the characteristics of the cultural teaching of Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School are analyzed.The third chapter mainly summarizes and sorts out the related issues of Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School Culture Course,and proposes improved suggestions for different issues.At the same time,through teaching observation and teaching experience,present examples of the teaching of culture in Phuket Thaihua ASEAN Wittaya School for later reference.The conclusion part is a summary of the full text,and conveys the beautiful expectations of the emphasis and improvement of Chinese culture teaching.
