The pursuit of educational equity is the basic essence of education.With the popularization of the policy of enrollment in the compulsory education stage in China,what kind of junior high school students can attend is more dependent on institutional and policy factors than individual learning grades,but in high school and non-compulsory education,higher education,quality education The selection criteria for resources are mainly based on the student’s learning grades.However,the educational opportunities and educational conditions for children in different families are different,which leads to differences in children’s learning grades.At the same time,the extracurricular tutoring program,which is called “shadow education” by the international academic community,has developed rapidly in China.Various training schools have emerged as the times require,and gradually become a supplement to school education.Based on this,this paper studies the influence of family capital on children’s learning grades from the perspective of family capital,and discusses the intermediary effect between family capital and children’s learning grades in shadow education,which has certain theoretical and practical significance for promoting the development of educational equity and social equity.Based on the data of China’s education tracking survey from 2013 to 2014 and relevant theoretical basis,this paper determines the mechanism of action between family capital,shadow education and children’s learning grades,and then puts forward the hypothesis of the relationship among the three to construct a multiple regression model.Then,Stata13 software was used to conduct statistics,measurement and analysis of sample data to verify the relationship between family capital,shadow education and children’s learning grades.The results show that: first,social capital,family cultural capital and family economic capital in the family have a significant impact on the children’s learning grades;Second,the highest occupational stratification of parents in non-family social capital,the frequency of actively contacting school teachers,parents’ educational expectations of children in family social capital,family cultural capital and family economic capital have significant influence on children’s participation opportunities in shadow education.Third,there is a partial mediating effect between the highest occupational stratification of parents in the social capital of shadow education outside the family and their children’s learning grades.There is a complete mediating effect between the frequency of actively contacting teachers and their children’s learning grades.There are some mediating effects between parents’ educational expectation,parent-child relationship and children’s learning grades in the social capital of family.Shadow education has some mediating effect between family cultural capital and children’s learning grades.Shadow education has some mediating effect between family economic capital and children’s learning grades.Finally,based on the research conclusions,this paper proposes corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,including four levels: First,at the government level,the government should strengthen the management of shadow education,reduce the adverse effects of shadow education,and should be low-family capital.Vulnerable groups provide policy support.Second,at the school level,schools should change existing education evaluation mechanisms and pay attention to the education of children from disadvantaged classes.Third,at the parental level,parents should create a good learning environment and improve their educational ability.Give appropriate expectations and enhance children’s self-motivation.Fourth,at the level of tutoring institutions,tutoring institutions should strengthen internal management,rationally control the time of tutoring,and adapt to the direction of the times and education reforms.
