Study On The Internationalization Of The National University Of Laos

In the era of globalization,the internationalization of universities has become an inevitable choice and an inevitable trend in the development of education in various countries.University internationalization has become the fourth major function after talent cultivation,scientific research,and serving the society.With the deepening of the process of reform and opening up in Laos,in order to better adapt to the needs of global competition and better participate in the process of regional integration,Laos'economic construction and social development urgently require professional skills,comprehensive quality and vision.Open international talent.As the highest university in Laos,the internationalization of the National University of Laos is imminent.Based on the existing research,this paper sorts and learns the literature and related books about university internationalization at home and abroad,and organizes and summarizes its connotation,characteristics,problems,dynamic factors and implementation strategies.At the same time,systematically combing the relevant theories of university internationalization,in order to accurately and profoundly grasp the theoretical connotation and essence of university internationalization on the theoretical level.On this basis,the third chapter analyzes the status quo of the internationalization of the National University of Laos,and draws on the evaluation index of the internationalization level of overseas universities.At the same time,it fully considers the development level of Laos' domestic education and the development level of the National University of Laos,and builds the evaluation of the internationalization level of the university.Indicator system.Questionnaire survey on the internationalization of the National University of Laos is carried out in six aspects:student internationalization,teacher internationalization,Sino-foreign cooperative education,cultural exchange,international display and campus internalization.The statistical results of the questionnaire show that the internationalization of the National University of Laos mainly has five problems:unreasonable system,low teacher level,insufficient funds,lagging school philosophy and imperfect service system.The reason is both historical and geographical.In addition,administrative intervention,educational philosophy and management level are also the main reasons for the internationalization level of the National University of Laos.As a big education country in the world,China's international experience in Chinese universities is worth learning and learning from Laos.Through the combing of the internationalization process of Chinese universities,it is found that the government's active intervention provides sufficient support to universities in terms of policies,systems,and funds;the university's full autonomy in running schools,and its international development strategy combined with its own actual situation;The model highlights its own advantages,including location advantages,disciplinary advantages,and language advantages.These three aspects are important core elements in the process of internationalization of Chinese universities and the basis for ensuring the smooth progress of their internationalization process.Based on this,the National University of Laos should first adhere to its own characteristics of running a school and establish an international concept.The school leadership should strengthen the concept of international education and attach importance to the internationalization of the school.At the same time,it actively seeks financial support for internationalization construction and makes full use of the financial support for education development under the framework of "ASEAN Integration".In addition,with the platform of humanities exchange and cooperation under the "Belt and Road Initiative"initiative,we will actively exchange and cooperate with Chinese universities to learn from and draw on the advanced concepts and practical models of internationalization in Chinese universities.Finally,the National University of Laos needs to change its traditional thinking,further improve its infrastructure,strengthen the construction of campus culture,enhance the level of international management,and lay a good foundation for a high level of internationalization.
