Study On Scientific And Technological Internationalization Of Colleges And Universities

Under the trend of economic globalization, internationalization of science and technology has become the main development trend in the present world. The scientific and technological development and self-dependent innovation shall mainly depend on own strength, but it also requires extensive international cooperation and communication to fully absorb the scientific intelligence and technical superiorities of other countries and make use of the global technical and scientific resources to enhance China's capability of scientific and technological innovation in the fields of front-edge technology and fundamental science. With the further development of economic globalization and information technology, the internationalization has changed the single development mode of the science and technology of colleges and universities by relying on domestic resources. Along with the increasingly tensioning domestic resources and rapidly updating scientific knowledge, the internationalization provides a new path for the sustainable innovation development of colleges and universities. In the face of continuously changing external environment, the acquisition of competitive edges has become a key for the strategic development of scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities.In this thesis, the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities is studied and deeply discussed as per the logical thinking way of problem finding-out, analysis and settlement. Firstly the basic theory of the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities is explicated in all aspects in this thesis:on the basis of the untangled the research results about the effective implementation of the development strategy of scientific and technological internationalization by the colleges and universities at home and abroad, the synergistic innovation theory, knowledge alliance theory, triple helix theory and dynamic capability theory are used as guidelines; on the basis of defined connotation of the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities, the basic composition of scientific and technological strategy internationalization, scientific and technological talent internationalization,scientific and technological activity internationalization and scientific and technological achievement internationalization are brought forward, the entitative and virtual forms of the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities are generalized, the entity diversity of the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities, its interaction with course development, its interfusion with the talent team establishment as well as the basic characteristics of the comprehensibility, mensurability and development incrementality of the benefits are concluded, and the impact on the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities by political and economic factors, new scientific and technological features and information technology development is analyzed. The above parts' form the basic theory frame of this thesis and are the basis for further study on the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities.In this thesis, the obtained achievements and confronted challenges by the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities in China are concluded, the successful experiences of foreign colleges and universities on the development of scientific and technological internationalization is explored, and a cross-time and overall observation and analysis is performed on the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities in view of the finding-out, comparison and analysis of problems. Moreover, the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities is studied with comments in this thesis. On the basis of expert interviews and the references to the study results of related scholars, an elevation indicator system is established according to the principle set up based on indicator system, by adopting scientific and practical methods and with the basic composition of the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities as the base line, and the weight of various indicators are determined and the evaluation model for scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities is established through the combination of analytic hierarchy process and entropy power method, and then an evaluation of and comparison between Tsinghua University and China University of Petroleum (East China) to validate the practicality and operability of the evaluation indicator system and the evaluation model. In the end, a path to boost the development of the scientific and technological internationalization of colleges and universities in China is proposed.
