Research On The Current Situation And Influencing Factors Of College Students' Self-control Ability In Inner Mongolia

Self-control ability is also called self-control ability.It is not only the internal need for college students to realize self-education,self-supervision and self-management,but also to promote their own development.The cultivation of college students' self-control ability is in order to better adapt to the social environment,at the same time,it is also the essential requirement of university education and the necessary stage of personal development.The purpose of this study is to understand the current situation and influencing factors of college students' self-control ability in Inner Mongolia,and on this basis,to propose countermeasures to improve college students' self-control ability.The author used a variety of methods to carry out the research,including questionnaire survey,literature review and interview,combined with the relevant theories of psychology and using College Students Self-control Scale(SCS)and Parental Rearing Style Questionnaire(PBI),604 college students were randomly selected from various universities in Inner Mongolia by cross-sectional sampling.The results show that the overall level of self-control ability of the surveyed college students is in the lower middle.The self-control ability of male and female college students is not as high as that of male students in the dimension of health habits,and that of male students is not as high as that of female students in the dimension of entertainment control.The dimension of resisting temptation between arts and science and engineering students is that arts students have no higher level of self-control than science and engineering students.In the dimension of focusing on work,liberal arts students have no higher level of self-control than engineering students,but the difference between liberal arts students and science students is not significant.Undergraduate students have no higher level of self-control than freshmen and sophomores in impulse control and entertainment control.In the dimension of impulse control,the level of self-control of graduate students studying in grade 3 is higher than that of students studying in grade 1 and grade 2.College students'self-control ability is correlated with parental rearing styles.Students who accept encouraging independent and caring parental rearing styles show higher levels in all dimensions of self-control.However,students who accept high-control parental rearing styles do not perform well in all dimensions of self-control.Therefore,this study mainly puts forward the countermeasures to cultivate college students' self-control ability from the social level,the school level,the family level and the individual level.At the social level,we should purify the network environment and strive to create a good social atmosphere;strengthen mental health education and ideological and political education at the school level;advocate democratic parents and a good family atmosphere at the family level;At the individual level,the level of self-control ability is constantly improved.
