Objective: By using Hatha yoga and High Intensity Interval Training(HIIT)to intervene the female college students at high-risk of eating disorder, the researchers can have a better understanding of the effects of exercise on the various psychological status of this group of people, and whether the risk of eating disorders is reduced. At the same time, blank control group is set in order to look for a more appropriate exercise intervention to the psychological status of female college students with high risk of eating disorder. Methods: A total of 384 female college students of Beijing Sport University's general course undergraduates(including freshman and sophomore of Sports Science,Psychology College,Sports Medicine College and Rehabilitation College)are selected as subjects of the experiment.First, using questionnaire method, all subjects complete the Eating Disorder Questionnaire-3(EDI-3)and a general survey. Then, using the experimental method, the height, weight and maximum oxygen uptake are collected, and the BMI values of the subjects are calculated. After the questionnaire is collected, the experimenters screen out the high-risk groups of eating disorder according to the scoring criteria and their BMI values, and confirm the final participants by telephone and WeChat. The pre-experimental of Hatha yoga and HIIT is performed prior to formal intervention. The data of 60 general populations and 60 high-risk groups with eating disorders are randomly selected to analyze whether there are significant differences in the psychological status of the two groups. All subjects are randomly allocated into Hatha yoga group,HIIT intervention group, and blank control group for an 8-week intervention.Data on Eating Disorder Questionnaire-3(EDI-3)is collected again after the end of intervention. All data is statistically analyzed by using SPSS 18.0.The psychological status of high-risk groups with eating disorder and the general population are compared by using Kruskal-Wallis analysis. The age, height, weight,BMI,and Eating Disorder Questionnaire-3(EDI-3)before and after intervention of three groups are compared by using Kruskal-Wallis analysis.Wilcoxon rank-sum analysis is used for comparison of Eating Disorder Questionnaire-3(EDI-3)before and after intervention within each group.Linear regression is used to construct a regression model for risk factors and psychological conditions of eating disorder.Results:(1)After the end of the 8-week intervention, the Hatha yoga group is significantly better than the HIIT intervention group in reducing scores of the subscales of Drive for Thinness(DT),Bulimia(B)of Eating Disorder Questionnaire-3(EDI-3).(2)After the end of the 8-week intervention, the Hatha yoga group is significantly better than the HIIT intervention group in reducing scores of the subscale of Perfectionism(P)of Eating Disorder Questionnaire-3(EDI-3).(3)The subscales of Drive for Thinness and Bulimia are significantly positively correlated with the subscales of Interoceptive Deficits(ID)and Emotional Dysregulation(ED).Conclusions:(1)Hatha Yoga effectively reduced the risk of female college students with high risk of eating disorder, especially in the subscales of Drive for Thinness,Bulimia. It effectively improved the psychological status of female college students with high risk of eating disorder, especially in the subscales of Interoceptive Deficits,Emotional Dysregulation and Perfectionism.(2)HIIT effectively reduced the risk of female college students with high risk of eating disorder, especially in the subscale of Bulimia. It didn't effectively improve the psychological status of female college students with high risk of eating disorder.(3)Hatha yoga is better than HIIT intervention in improving the risk(in the Drive for Thinness and Bulimia)and the psychological status(in the Perfectionism)of female college students with high risk of eating disorder.(4)The reduction of risks such as Drive for Thinness and Bulimia of female college students with high risk of eating disorder is related to the improvement of psychological status such as Interoceptive Deficits and Emotional Dysregulation.
