Assortative Mating Concept:Connotation,Measurement And Influencing Factors

Objectives:Marriage match is focus of economics and sociology.Individual psychology play an important role in the process of marriage match,however,the research on marriage matching in psychology is insufficient.A series of hot social issues,such as blind date price list and blind date disdain chain,have presented the issue of marriage to the public,triggering a heated discussion.therefore,this paper explores the meaning of the assortative mating concept from the perspective of psychology,studies the effective measuring tools of the concept of marriage match,and probes into the influencing factors of assortative mating concept.Methods:Literature review and questionnaire survey were used to interpret marriage matching from the perspective of ecological needs level theory.On the basis of previous research on mate selection criteria and current interviews with individuals of marriageable age,the concept of marriage matching questionnaire was compiled to measure assortative mating concept.By using the questionnaire survey method,this paper studies the influencing factors of the assortative mating concept,and analyzes the relationship between the sense of security,control strategy,economic environment pressure and the assortative mating concept.Results:(1)the essence of marriage matching is to meet the needs of individuals.(2)the assortative mating concept questionnaire contains marriage resource matching and quality matching two questionnaire,marriage matching points questionnaire contains material resources,environment resources matching and psychological resources match three dimensions,including marriage quality matching value tendency characteristics matching,environmental characteristics and mental qualities match three dimensions;The assortative mating concept questionnaire has good reliability and validity.The assortative mating concept has significant differences in gender,household registration type,economic status and marital status.(3)control strategy in the security and the marriage intermediary role between the notions of matching,childhood economic environment pressure regulating role between security and the assortative mating concept,the current economic environment pressure regulation effect was not significant,but high individual marriage matching concept is significantly lower than the current economic environment pressure low current environment pressure.Conclusion:(1)this paper believes that the essence of marriage matching is to meet the needs of both parties in choosing a spouse,and individuals should choose marriage matching objects according to their own needs.At the same time,we think marriage match is a including assessment,matching resources,need to change and adjustment of a continuous process,from the ecological perspective of hierarchy of needs theory to the interpretation of the marriage patterns should be placed in the space and time the two systems,space systems include individual,family,community and society,the time system should consider the individual development and social change.Marriage matching is the unity of opposites of domestic demand and systematicness,the unity of dialectics of continuity and development,the unity of opposites of individual difference and overall cohesion,and at the same time,it is incongruous,compensatory and historical.It has important reference significance for individuals to establish and maintain stable marriage.(2)the marriage matching concept questionnaire has good reliability and validity,and can be used as an effective tool to measure the marriage matching concept.(3)the control strategy plays an intermediary role between the sense of security and the concept of marriage match,and the economic environmental pressure in childhood plays a moderating role between the sense of security and the concept of marriage match.The research on the concept of marriage match provides a reference for the establishment of matching marriage,promotes family harmony and stability,and also provides a reference for the research on marriage match in the fields of economics and sociology.
