Age occupies an important position in assortative mating pattern, but traditional sociological researchers pay little attention to it. Although demography is very concerned about the important population attribute, and the research on age waspopular in the late1980s and early1990s, the concept of marriage age is always isolated, until the introduction of the marriage market theory based on the supply and demand. Marriage market theory, however, eliminates the social significance of the age and dilutes the existence of marriage subject. This research make an inverted attempt:the age or time as the dependent variable, the social factors as independent variables, explain time from the perspective of society and mine the social significance in assortative mating pattern. For this reason, assortative mating age is regarded as social time based on the interpretation framework of time-society analysis. The interpretation framework is no longer based on supply and demand, but on the basis of live actors assortative mating. Based on their age difference, excavate deeply the social and economic significants in assortative mating age; Based on the first marriage age, this paper discusses how the education behavior and working behavior affect the age pattern.Studies have found that there is relationship between assortative mating age pattern and wealth pattern, and age difference between spouses contains certain economic claim; age pattern influences the family rights less obviously, but the self-logic of the age pattern is still interpreted as the patriarchal logic in this paper; The education behavior and working behavior delay the first marriage age together, education level adjusts the relationship between working behavior and getting marriaged first. At the same time, this study impact the people’s understanding, academic circle included, of "left male left female" phenomenon, and the crowd with low education level who long suffers from marriage trouble is really need to focus on. This conclusion needs better data to support.
