With the continuous development of science and technology informationization at the present stage,the quality of people’s travel travel demand is gradually increasing,and the new tourism industry transformation reform will inevitably put forward new requirements for tourism practitioners.At the same time,the training orientation of secondary vocational school students and the actual social needs have a large dislocation,and the training of secondary vocational school students did not meet the effective standards and other prominent problems need to be solved urgently.As an important training base for providing first-line service talents to tourism industry,secondary vocational schools should focus on training students’practical ability,positioning it as the core content of education and teaching in secondary vocational schools,and actively explore how to improve the practical ability of secondary vocational students through relevant teaching channels under the requirements of the society and the talent market.Practical ability refers to the general or special ability and skill to solve practical problems acquired through some practical activities in a specific place of practice.This paper sums up the dimensions and relevant elements of the practical ability training structure of vocational school students by sorting out the relevant literature on the connotation of practical ability and analyzing the post groups of tourism service and management majors in secondary vocational schools.Through questionnaires,this paper investigates and analyses the current situation of the training of practical ability of students majoring in tourism service and management in Chongqing F Vocational Education Center,and makes relevant interviews with students and professional teachers by means of interviews,and then collects relevant real information by observing school teaching classes.Through the analysis of the results of the survey,this paper sorts out the practical problems existing in the process of cultivating practical ability,and divides the main body into the causes and attributions.Finally,it explores the practical improvement of the training program based on the development of tourism service and management specialty,optimizes the curriculum structure of tourism service and management specialty,reforms the teaching methods of teachers,and strengthens the links of practical training activities.Construction,strengthening School-School cooperation and school-enterprise cooperation,perfecting the construction of practice base,establishing practice assessment mechanism based on practice ability,and jointly ensuring the cultivation of practical ability of secondary vocational school students by various subjects are seven specific suggestions for improvement,so as to ensure the quality of cultivation of practical ability of secondary vocational school students majoring in tourism service and management,hoping to be able to practice and learn in secondary vocational school teaching.The training of students’practical ability can provide effective help.
