With the implementation of the new college entrance examination reform plan,general high school career education has been placed to an important position,which has aroused widespread concern among schools,students and parents.Schools can carry out career education by offering school-based courses,and they should also penetrate them properly in different subjects.On the one hand,penetrating career education in geography teaching in general high school can cultivate students’ ability to choose and improve their awareness of career planning;On the other hand,geography teaching from the perspective of career can promote the effect of geography learning and give full play to the educational value of geography.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the penetration of career education in geography teaching in general high school.By consulting the research literature of career education in general high school at home and abroad,the thesis combs the implementation mode,curriculum design,teacher requirement and guarantee mechanism of career education in foreign general high school.At the same time,the thesis collates the value,the implementation ways,the fusion with the subject of career education in general high school in China,and the analysis and reference to the successful experience of foreign countries.Through the questionnaire survey,we know the current situation of career education and the penetration of career education in general high school geography teaching,and find out that there is a lack of a complete and mature implementation system of career education in general high school in our country at present.There are few researches on the penetration content of career education in geography teaching in general high school,and little attention has been paid to cultivating consciousness and ability of career development in geography teaching.Therefore,this paper takes the combination of geography teaching and career education as the starting point to study the penetration advantages,principles,contents and ways.The thesis analyzes the advantages of penetrating career education in geography teaching from there aspects.The first aspect is that the geography subject has the attributes of natural science and social science.Then the core accomplishment of geography is consistent with the goal of career education.In addition,the opportunity for career education provided by thereform of the new college entrance examination is also explained.Based on the two principles of taking geography as the foundation,and penetrating career education to promote geography teaching effect,this paper puts forward the penetration contents of career education in geography teaching.Firstly,it is necessary to fully excavate the knowledge points related to occupation in geography teaching materials and expand the students’ professional horizon.Secondly,it is necessary to analyze the types of interest in geography,the intelligence analysis needed to study geography,the characteristics of students and the guidance of geography,the collection and analysis of occupation information and specialty information related to geography,and evaluation of current situation of geography learning effect and plan to promote it,so as to cultivate the students’ consciousness and ability of career development in geography teaching.There are many ways to penetrate career education in geography teaching in general high school,but it is very important to adopt effective ways to penetrate.The thesis suggests that the career education should be penetrated through the first class,classroom teaching and extracurricular practice.Firstly,students can understand profession related to geography and its value through the first geography lesson to arouse their interest in geography learning and enlighten their vision about the career.Secondly,the students’ consciousness and ability of career planning can be improved by digging up the teaching materials of career education and using the active geography inquiry activities in classroom teaching.Thirdly,using effective resources outside the classroom to establish interactive and experiential career practice base,to enhance students’ professional experience and clear career direction.
