With the continuous deepening of the reform of the new college entrance examination,the research on infiltrating career education into senior high school geography teaching has gradually been valued by scholars.In the past,most of the research on infiltrating career education into senior high school geography teaching was limited to the theoretical stage,and there were few strategic analysis studies on how to implement this issue.Career education in senior high school is not only conducive to promoting the reform of the new college entrance examination and implementing the high school geography curriculum standards,but also an effective way to achieve the educational value of geography and enrich the theory of career education in geography teaching.At the same time,it can also help ordinary high school students to quickly understand themselves,their careers,and majors,cultivate career awareness,and initially form a career plan for geography.To this end,investigations and studies have been conducted from both theoretical and practical perspectives,using literature analysis,questionnaire survey,textbook analysis,and interview methods to analyze the current situation and existing problems of infiltrating career education in senior high school geography teaching in Weifang City,and the following conclusions have been drawn:1.At present,the situation of integrating career education into geography teaching in senior high schools in Weifang City is not ideal.Due to the implementation of the new college entrance examination policy,high school students,especially those who are interested in or have chosen to take the geography exam,have a high demand for integrating career education into geography teaching.However,because teachers themselves have little knowledge of career education,they cannot meet the needs of students.2.Propose feasible strategies for the above situation: First,local education authorities and schools should change their education concepts and increase their attention;At the same time,improve the teaching evaluation system.Secondly,teachers should change their traditional teaching concepts and improve their professional career education ability and teaching design level;Teachers should combine multiple teaching methods when infiltrating career education in geography teaching.3.According to the new curriculum standards,the survey results of students and teachers,and the current teaching situation in Weifang City,the principles and three effective teaching methods for infiltrating career education in senior high school geography teaching are proposed.Combining the three teaching methods,the teaching design is conducted to provide effective reference and guidance for the infiltration of career education into the geography teaching of Weifang High School.By infiltrating career education into geography teaching,cultivating students’ career awareness and improving their career planning abilities,while strengthening students’ understanding of the development process and prospects of geography related professions and geography majors,and increasing the impact of geography disciplines on students,this can guide senior high school students in scientific subject selection and provide certain theoretical basis and practical reference for infiltrating career education in Weifang senior high school geography teaching.
