Mathematical plane geometry is a basic discipline to investigate the properties of geometric graphics in plane,and it is one of the best ways to train human thinking.Therefore,geometric graphics is one of the important learning contents of junior middle school mathematics.Furthermore,it is the important test content of mathematics in senior high school entrance examination.It has been proposed in the new curriculum reform that by learning geometry,students not only can exercise thinking ability,but also can learn to think and analyze.However,during the front-line teaching process of geometry graphics,students "are tired of learning and abandon learning geometry graphics",and teachers are in a teaching dilemma of "teachers teach but students do not learn".In order to solve this teaching dilemma,a large number of materials are consulted,and it is found that variant teaching of basic geometry graphics may be one of the ways to solve the current teaching problems.However,it requires our practical research of whether the implementation of such teaching method is feasible and effective.In this paper,Van Hill theory,variation theory and Ausubel ‘'meaningful learning''theory are taken as the theoretical direction.In combination with the actual teaching situation of our school,and by virtue of the patterns including interview,questionnaire,testing paper and observation,research information is collected from both students and teachers.Then,the practicability and effectiveness of the variant teaching of basic geometry graphics are studied rigorously and comprehensively.It is shown by the research result of this paper that as for students,after using the variant teaching method of basic geometry graphics,students make positive changes in aspects such as mathematics emotion,mathematics habits,mathematics experience and value.The scores of testing papers are improved in comparison with the previous routine tests,especially that the potential students begin to learn geometry graphics.As for teachers,experienced old teachers are in favor of the innovation on variant teaching of basic graphics,which not only improves the current teaching situation,but also promotes the teaching level of teachers,and achieves "a win-win situation for teachersand students".Thus,it is illustrated that the variant teaching of basic geometric graphics is practical and effective through the research of this paper combined with the actual situation of our school.The variant teaching of basic geometry graphics is not only beneficial to improve students' learning level of geometry,but also more beneficial to the development of students' thinking,which truly reflects the true meaning of quality education.
