With the rapid development of information technology and the exponential surge of knowledge quantity,the traditional classroom teaching mode has gradually been difficult to meet the needs of current knowledge dissemination,Visualization resources such as multimedia demonstration and online courses which can break the time and space restrictions are gradually applied in teaching.Research shows that the application of knowledge visual representation can effectively promote the efficiency of the abovementioned technology in the dissemination of knowledge.As a result,while technological innovation brings convenience,it also puts forward the requirement that the educators should have the relevant theoretical basis.Knowledge visual representation is a hotspot in the field of educational technology at present,but most of the current research focuses on macroscopic research,and there are few studies on how to achieve knowledge visual representation in different disciplines.Based on the analysis of the existing theories,this paper tries to put forward the viewpoint of visual representation of biological knowledge in middle school and carry out teaching practice.Firstly,this paper summarizes the related literatures in the field of knowledge visualization in recent years,clarifies its theoretical basis and research status,and explains its function principle in teaching.Secondly,starting from the definition of knowledge visualization,it is clear that knowledge visualization and knowledge visual representation is defined as "process" and "result",The realization of knowledge visualization needs to rely on the means of knowledge visual representation.The research of knowledge visual representation is of great significance for knowledge visualization.Then,classification of Knowledge Types Based on Revised Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives,and separately discussed the visual representation of factual knowledge and conceptual knowledge in middle school biology.And select typical cases to propose corresponding visual representation means.At the end of the study,taking the two classes with similar classroom atmosphere and no significant difference in the level of knowledge and learning ability as the research objects.Taking the Environment of Cells Life as an example to design experiments,which implemented by using visual representation as an independent variable.The results show that the test scores and classroom performance of the experimental class are better than those of the control class.That is to say,the use of visual representation of knowledge can promote the process of biology teaching in middle school,and the visual representation method described in this study is effective and reasonable for biology teaching.
