The 2017 edition of general high school geography curriculum standards requires teachers to take students as the main body in geography classroom teaching and focus on cultivating students’ independent exploration ability and innovation ability.Case teaching is widely used in geography teaching,which enriches the traditional geography teaching and complements the traditional geography teaching,making the geography class become vivid and active with various forms.Case teaching of geography refers to cases,cases and situations related to geography,etc.,which can contain certain geographical principle knowledge,geographical difference knowledge and geographical regularity knowledge.It is helpful to select representative examples or cases among the cases to be applied in geography teaching to achieve teaching objectives.In the actual case teaching of geography,it is often easy to have improper case contents,incomplete teaching links of cases in class,and lack of reflection and summary of case teaching.How to compile cases according to the types of geographical knowledge and how to make cases better applied and improved in geography teaching are particularly important.This paper studies the specific application of case teaching in high school geography teaching aiming at different types of high school geography knowledge.Taking geographic principle knowledge,geographical difference knowledge and geographical regularity knowledge as examples,the application practice of case teaching in high school geography teaching is carried out,and then the application strategy of case teaching in high school geography teaching is analyzed and summarized.The paper is divided into six parts.In the first part,based on the 2017 edition of general high school geography curriculum standards,the large number of specific cases in high school geography textbooks and the situational and open characteristics of the geography examination questions in the college entrance examination,combined with the research status of case teaching at home and abroad,this paper elaborates the research purpose and significance of the paper and determines the research method.The second part,clear case and the concept of case teaching,a brief introduction of case teaching based on the relevant theoretical basis.The third part is a questionnaire survey on case teaching of geography teachers.The data in the questionnaire survey are sorted out and the results of the questionnaire survey are analyzed to understand the problems that may exist in the case teaching of geography teachers at present,so as to provide the basis and reference for the application of case teaching in high school geography teaching.The fourth part,high school geography case teaching practice.The case teaching practice is carried out with the knowledge of geographic principle,geographic difference,geographic regularity and other comprehensive inquiry knowledge,and the case teaching practice in high school geography teaching is summarized.The fifth part,combining the question analysis of questionnaire survey and teaching practice,summarizes the case writing strategy and case teaching strategy in geography teaching in senior high school.The sixth part,research conclusion and prospect.The main conclusion of this paper and the content and deficiency of the later research.
