As the main basis of teachers' teaching and the main material of students' learning,textbooks are a kind of medium and curriculum resources that connect teachers' teaching with students' learning.As a material product of history curriculum,history textbooks play a key role in the dissemination of historical knowledge,the education of historical consciousness,and the training of professional talents.Therefore,the construction of history textbooks is an important content and link of history education.With the progress and development of the times,more and more people are not only paying attention to domestic history textbooks,but also studying foreign history textbooks.This article attempts to use the history of the "American Revolution" in the history textbooks of American middle schools as a research object to explore how the American history textbook describes the relevant historical issues of the American revolution and revolution around major revolutionary events and historical processes such as the War of Independence and the Civil War.The systematic reflection and in-depth examination of the American revolutionary Outlook,worldview,and historical outlook reflected behind the compilation of these textbooks and the description of historical connotations are expected to provide some inspiration for the preparation of Chinese textbooks.For our revolutionary education today to provide some extraterritorial experience and reference value.The full text consists of the following five chapters.The first chapter introduces the purpose and significance of the research,the current research situation,the research ideas,the research methods and the innovation.The second chapter introduces the primary and secondary school system,curriculum setting and textbook system in the United States.The third and fourth chapters take the Mc Graw-Hill version of the Mc Dougal-Little version as an example to study the historicalrepresentation and characteristics of the two versions of the American Revolutionary War and the Civil War.The fifth chapter analyzes the American history textbooks for the American revolution to the expression of inspiration and we should pay attention to and learn from the experience.
