As an important teaching concept,teaching of historical materials can help students acquire historical research methods,cultivate their historical thinking ability and critical thinking ability,and help students form correct emotional attitudes and values.Since the 1990s,American high schools began to pay attention to historical sources teaching methods,and gradually formed a set of mature historical teaching mode through long-term exploration and practice.In the teaching methods and strategies of historical materials teaching,the methods of "making history" and "constructing reading road map" are formed.In terms of characteristics,the teaching methods of historical materials teaching are flexible,having rich materials and paying attention to original historical materials,emphasizing civic education and the cultivation of historical thinking ability and the teaching of historical materials research methods.High schools in our country pay more attention to the teaching of historical materials lately,although they are gradually strengthening the attention,but there are still many problems.This paper hopes to analyze the experience and originality of the historical materials teaching in American high schools.Then,according to the specific situation of our country,making some reflections on the practice of historical materials teaching in senior high schools in our country.
