In November 30 of 2016,China’s "Twenty-Four Solar Teams" was successfully selected into the UNESCO List of Representatives of Human Intangible Cultural Heritage.After that,disciplines like Geography,Chinese and others subjects have developed the resources of solar terms from their own perspectives.While the research was very limited in the field of combining 24 solar terms and biological sciences,which was inextricably linked with the ecological view of harmonious coexistence between human and nature,the changing laws of animals and plants,the farming production technology and the concept of health.Regarding to the lack of this kind of research in middle school education of biology,this study aimed to inherit the culture of the solar economy;to enrich the teaching content of biology practical activities;to reflect the comprehensive nature of biology practical activities,and to consolidate 24 solar terms into the middle school biology practical activities for applied research.Literature research method,questionnaire survey,educational practice,interview methods were used as the primary methods to carry on this research.Firstly,the paper analyzed existing literature,to understand the research status of 24 solar terms and secondary school education at home and abroad;later summarized the relevant theories of biology practical activities,and analyzed the feasibility and necessity of research.Then investigated the status of biology practical activities in middle school,found the constraints of the implementation of practical activities,analyzed the problems,and proposed strategies to promote the development of biology practical activities.Based on the actual situation of education,this study explored how to consolidate the "Twenty-Four Solar Terms" into the middle school biology practical activities,and introduced the characteristics of the "solar terms" biology practical activities curriculum,course types,curriculum development principles,curriculum development steps,and evaluation methods,etc.As for the design of the activity teaching cases,the article introduced the teaching design principles,the teaching design process,and finally through the demonstration of the teaching case to inspire more biology teachers to develop practical activity cases.For the implementation of the practical activity curriculum,implementation principles,methods and process of the "solar terms" biology practical activities course were introduced.At last,by analyzing the implementation effect of the curriculum to promote more biology teachers to carry out biology practical activities.Studies had shown that the application of “twenty-four solar terms” in biology practical activities was effective;the activities could improve students’ biological science literacy to a certain extent.In the relevant solar terms,they could understand nature and applied biological science knowledge to explain biological phenomena,which to form biological science knowledge,scientific thinking and scientific inquiry capabilities.
