With the progress of science and technology and social development, the cultivation of innovative talents is an urgent need for social development.Biology as an important part of science curriculum, the cultivation and reserve of innovative talents is very important. The National Biology League is the top competition for selecting excellent middle school students with the potential of biology development. It is also an important way to discover, select and train advanced talents in biological sciences. The National High School Biology League examines zoology(morphological structure and physiology, animal behavior),botany(morphological structure and physiology),ecology, cytology, genetics and evolution, system biology, among them,Zoology accounted for 20%,botany 20%,ecology 10%,cell biology 25%,heredity and evolution 15%,system biology 10%.The knowledge of the League examination involves the major professional courses and some experimental techniques of the undergraduate course, which is obviously advanced, and the teaching content of biology in middle school is far from enough to cope with. Therefore, how do teachers guide the development of biology The potential students grasp the league knowledge, improve the level of students’ ability, make students achieve excellent results in the league, and help a group of innovative talents stand out.Through the analysis of the part of the theoretical test questions of the National Biology League,it is helpful for teachers to fully understand the contents of the test questions,to form a variety of teaching methods and "self-study-tutoring" teaching mode,to help students to master the knowledge points of the League examination; It is helpful for students to form independent learning mode and effective learning method,to develop students’ thinking and ability, and to form correct biological science thought. Therefore,it is helpful to improve teachers’ professional accomplishment and cultivate students’ comprehensive ability by systematically analyzing the theoretical test questions of national middle school biology league and studying the teaching methods of middle school biology league tutoring and thestrategies of cultivating students’ ability. In order to meet the social needs of the high-quality biological disciplines to provide a way to stand out. This paper takes the animal biology part of the National Junior High School Biology League Test question from 2003 to 2018 as the research object, adopts the literature review method, the text analysis method, the examination paper analysis method and so on,and so on.From the point of view of the test question module, the author found out the characteristics of the national biology league test questions, and systemically sorted out the key knowledge, analyzed the requirements of the league to the participating students, and found that the participating students should have the ability of self-study,and found out that the students should have the ability of self-study.The ability to interpret biological information, the ability to use knowledge flexibly, the ability to explore problems, the ability to innovate and good psychological quality are analyzed. For knowledge The characteristics of the examination and the requirements of the students’ ability put forward the teaching methods and strategies for the cultivation of the students’ abilities which teachers can adopt in the process of teaching.Through the reflection on the present situation of biology teaching in middle schools in China, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the quality of biology teaching in middle schools. This paper also tracks and understands the continuous development of previous elite contestants, and has an empirical effect.
