The development of data analysis technology allows us to continuously obtain valuable information from the data.Traditional schools are facing the challenges of the digital era,and teachers are key players of this change.However,the current use of educational data is extremely limited.Relevant research shows that teachers are more inclined to adjust teaching strategies based on experience rather than relying on more objective and scientific data analysis results.Therefore,it is very urgent to carry out the data literacy promotion activities for teachers.How to cultivate teachers with high data literacy has become an important issue that need to be solved urgently.For this purpose,this study has developed a plan to improve the data literacy of teachers based on the result of practical investigations and interviews with a group of teachers,exploring to set a feasible way to improve the data literacy of teachers.The methods this study applies mainly contain literature survey and investigation.Literature survey method is used firstly to define related concepts of teachers’ data literacy and classify how it is divided by researchers in this field,so that the theoretical foundation upon which the investigation and practice of this study is built could be set.Then investigation method is used in such a way that several primary and secondary school teachers who participate"the national training plan"were selected as research object to analyze current status of teachers’ data literacy and their corresponding need to improve.SPSS and Nvivo are tools mainly used in this study,within which,SPSS is used to analyze the survey items and draw conclusion based on them,followed by rethinking and summary.And Nvivo is mainly used to conduct qualitative analysis based on the interviews with 7 teachers and principals from different phases of study,which involves three level coding of interview texts and interpretation of the result.Achievements of this study contains:1.Four dimensions to improve the data literacy of primary and secondary teachers are summarized,namely data knowledge,data application,data skills,and data consciousness and ethic.And current status and strategy to improve in these four dimensions are also introduced.2.In a combination of literature survey and interview investigation,the content on how to improve teachers’ data literacy was discussed,as well as a sample instruction chapter,and we delivered the content in the format of micro video lecture on the platform of Wechat,in this way we validate the effectiveness of our solution to find that it does help to improve teachers’ data literacy in various dimensions effectively.
