With the development of information technology,big data has quietly infiltrated into people’s production and life,prompting industries to develop in a more accurate and personalized direction.Educational researchers are trying to introduce big data into the field of education to change the disadvantages of traditional education and make teaching decisions more scientific,learning evaluation more accurate,learning resources more intelligent,and learning services more personalized.Therefore,how to make use of data-driven teaching will certainly become the essential core accomplishment of teachers in the new era.At present,the data literacy level of teachers in China is uneven,which makes it difficult to give full play to the huge potential of big data in the field of education.Moreover,the teacher training system lacks a set of effective data literacy improvement courses.Therefore,following the theme of the new era,this study designed and implemented project-based learning activities to promote the development of data literacy of teachers in order to improve the data literacy level of teachers,so as to verify the effectiveness of project-based learning activities in improving data literacy of teachers.Research mainly adopts literature research,questionnaire and experimental approach,on the basis of predecessors’ research,sorting and building teachers evaluation index,could be divided into four dimensions: data knowledge,skills,data application and reflection,data attitude and consciousness,and compile it into teachers’ data literacy test.Understanding and analyzing the level of teachers’ date literacy,in view of the different dimensions of features,three project learning themes are designed: "How much education data knows","Striving to be a data steward" and "Insight into data has a magic trick".Organize the subjects to conduct group inquiry learning,complete project works,carry out learning evaluation and other project-based learning activities.Finally,the experimental results were tested through pre-and post-test questionnaire and learning experience interview of teachers’ data literacy,and the conclusion was drawn that project-based learning activities can effectively improve the data literacy level of front-line teachers.
