Mathematics Idea Means(MIM)is the meridian of the mathematical knowledge,linking dry and stereotyped mathematical knowledge together,making mathematical knowledge an organic and complete system.However,MIM is hidden behind mathematical knowledge and needs to be excavated.This brings difficulty to the teaching of MIM.What is the current situation of the teaching of MIM in senior middle school?In this paper,domestic and foreign research status of MIM is introduced and commonly used MIM is summarized firstly.Then the present situation of the teaching of MIM in senior middle school is investigated using the self-designed questionnaires from the interest in learning MIM,the cognition of MIM,the status of the teaching of MIM(both students and teachers),the methods of the learning of MIM,and the grasping of MIM.The results of the survey show that the current situation of high school students' learning of MIM is as follows:?.Students are not interested in mathematics and mathematics research.?.Students are less aware of the importance of MIM.?.MIM teaching is not carried out in every link of the math class.?.In ordinary mathematics learning,students cannot consciously learn MIM.?.Many students should not be able to master the common MIM that high school students should master.The present situation of mathematics teachers' teaching of MIM is as below:?.Mathematics teachers are fully aware of the importance of MIM.?.In the exploration and construction of new knowledge and example teaching,the implementation of MIM is in place,but in the new lesson introduction and classroom summary,teaching implementation is not optimistic and needs to be strengthened.According to the results of the investigation and interviews with teachers and students,some suggestions for reference in daily teaching are put forward mainly from the perspective of teachers.?.Cultivate students' interest in mathematics learning in combination with thecharacteristics of mathematics.?.Review MIM in the introduction of the mathematics review.?.Explore the method of penetrating MIM in the new knowledge.?.Comprehend MIM in the problem solving teaching.?.Emphasize MIM in the classroom summary.?.Apply MIM in the review teaching.
