Russell,a famous educator,once said that character education was basically completed before the child was 6 years old and that school education only played a consolidation role on the original basis after 6 years of age in child."Make a habit at the age of five,and still do by the age of sixty",he said.It is also true that the formation of character is shaped from an early age and is basically shaped.Therefore,the early stage of learning is a critical period for the formation of a child's character,especially for children in large classes,who are in the turning point between kindergarten and primary school.We should pay more attention to character education.The picture books are both vivid and interesting.At the same time,the behavior of the protagonist in the picture book can provide a certain demonstration for the children because of the imitative nature of the children.Therefore,in order to carry on the character education to the big class children,the author has chosen a series of picture books of character cultivation.This set of picture books vividly reproduces the problems encountered by children in their daily lives with warm and cordial stories,while the naughty and kind little rabbit teaches them how to face difficulties,get along with others,how to care for others and other principles to promote the formation of children's good character in the process of picture book teaching and reading.This thesis is based on the action research method,selecting Harbin city a focus of a large group of kindergarten children as the research object,and form the research community with the class teacher,with the use of observation,interview and questionnaire,the value clarification theory,moral cognition theory,social learning theory and the developmental characteristics of preschool children.With a set of character picture books--Boli rabbit character forming series as a carrier,to carry out the research on character education in a large group of children in practice.The study of the action consists of three rounds,each round lasts for one month,and two character themes were carried on.Every action research is based on planning,action,observation,reflection,and planning to form a spiral development process,,and then design the activity plan from the aspects of educational goals,contents and practice activities.The thesis is divided into five chapters,the content framework is as follows:The first part:introduction.It mainly introduces the reason and significance,the purpose and content of the research,the theoretical basis of the research and literature review.The second part: research and design.The main contents are the methods and steps of the research,the field of the research and the research participants,the collection and arrangement of the research materials.The third part: the research course,including the establishment of the theme of character education and the choice of the picture book of character theme,as well as the process of three rounds of action research.The fourth part: the result analysis of character education with picture book as the carrier.Through the interview with the preschool teachers,the observation and interview of the children in first class of kindergarten and the interview of the parents,the author finds that,In the course of more than three months' action research,the character education activities carried out with picture book as the carrier do improve the moral cognition and moral emotion of the children in the first class of kindergarten.Behavior of some children also has a certain degree of change,It also has the certain positive influence to the author as well as the participation teacher in the specialized development aspect.The fifth part: conclusions and suggestions.It mainly includes the analysis of the character education action research based on picture book,as well as the related suggestions to kindergarten,preschool teachers and parents,and follow-up researchers.
