High School Students' Attitudes Towards Biological Study

A good attitude in learning is an important guarantee for effective teaching and effective learning by students.Bad attitude to learning will affect students' final learning outcomes.At present,there are few studies on biological attitudes in China.In order to further study the status of biological learning attitudes of middle school students in China at present,the author selected three different levels of secondary schools from Nanchong City,Sichuan Province(White Tower Middle School,Nanchong No.1 Middle School and Nanchong No.11 Middle School.The students were the subjects of the study.They mainly used the methods of questionnaire survey,literature analysis,statistical analysis,interviews,etc.to investigate and study the attitudes of students in the three high school classes in the first grade and parallel classes,and to use SPSS 17.0 initially explored the overall situation of students' biological attitudes in Grade One students,compared the differences in biological learning attitudes among students in different schools,different types of classes,and between genders,and analyzed the attitudes and learning achievement of biological learning and biological attitudes.Relevance to parental concerns.Through the above-mentioned research and interview results,the author proposes reasonable suggestions for the cultivation of biological learning attitudes,and provides basis for the better development of biology teaching in senior high schools in Nanchong City.By referring to the CLASS biological attitude measurement tools and the measurement scales of learning attitudes of various disciplines,the author developed a questionnaire on biological attitudes.The questionnaire design is divided into three dimensions: cognition,emotion and behavior.The statistical analysis of the questionnaires shows that the overall learning attitude of students in Grade 1 in Nanchong City is good,and the highest score in terms of cognition shows that students have a relatively good value judgment for biology,but they have poor performance in behavior and emotion.For this study of high school students,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)There is no difference in the biological learning attitudes among different grade 1 high school students.(2)There is a significant difference in students' biological learning attitudes among schools at different levels in the area.Provincial schools are better than provincial secondary schools and ordinary middle schools.(3)In the class type,there is no difference between the key classes in ordinary middle schools and ordinary classes.There are significant differences in the general learning attitudes between the two classes of secondary schools in the province,but there is no difference in each dimension.There are significant differences in the overall attitude and dimensions of provincial-level schools' key classes and general classes,and the scores of key classes are significantly higher than those of ordinary classes.(4)There was a significant positive correlation between student achievement and learning attitude.There was also a significant positive correlation between students' biological learning attitude and parental care.Combining with the results of the research and interviews with students and teachers,students,parents,teachers,and schools are suggested to cultivate students' biological learning attitude.Students should be careful to make friends,take the initiative to avoid unhealthy tendencies in the society,and participate in extra-curricular labor;teachers should prepare biological classes,be good at creating appropriate learning situations,constantly update themselves to adapt to the development of the times,and correctly use the value of expectation theory;parents should create a good The family atmosphere has positive expectations and correct guidance for students;schools should strengthen the construction of experimental facilities,carry out more activities related to biology,formulate school rules and regulations,and guide students to form a good attitude towards biological learning.
