This paper first discusses the relationship between mathematics and physics from the perspective of the history of physics and teaching.It is shown that the relationship between physics and mathematics is changing with the history,and it is also closely linked and complementary.Firstly,the mathematics occupies the main position in such relationship.Subsequently,mathematics translates into a tool for physics.And such aspect has been widely accepted in physics teaching.To infiltrate mathematics thoughts in physics,one needs to find theoretical support.We start with migration theory and constructionist theory,and discuss the feasibility and requirements of mathematics penetration in physics.Additionally,we list the mathematics and physics in high school physics textbooks.We find that mathematics and physics are very close in high school physics teaching,and mathematics is crucial in many contents.The above aspects of the discussion of the correlation between mathematics and physics are in theory,many experts and scholars in this area have been very clear,but few data analysis can be found.Therefore,in this paper,a correlation analysis is made based on the physics and mathematics scores of a high school one-month test in Sichuan.It is shown that the physics and mathematics scores are positively related,and the data are used to illustrate the correlation between mathematics and physics.Some of the difficulties in applying mathematics in physics teaching are due to the lack of a clear grasp of mathematical thinking and methods.Therefore,this article lists some of the mathematics methods,explains the combination of each method with the high school physics textbooks,enumerates the use of conventional physics exercises and physics competition exercises,and helps readers to sort out the ideas in this way.Combining the ability requirements and difficulties of using mathematical methods to solve physical problems,students are required to be able to master the mathematical language of physics: to see the text representation can give a corresponding mathematical expression,and to see the mathematical expression can accurately express the concept in words.In addition,students also need to develop the ability to build physics formulas on the basis of experiments,as well as develop students' ability to solve physical problems by transforming them into mathematical problems.There are certain difficulties in the penetration of mathematical methods in teaching.The main reason for this difficulty is due to the lack of mathematical knowledge.In practice,there is a general ambiguity that mathematics is lagging behind the demand of the physical,which seriously affects the study of physics.In addition,the mathematics method in mathematics is different from the mathematics method in physics: physical formulas not only express mathematical relations,but also carry physical meanings.Therefore,the understanding and use of physical formulas cannot leave the physical category.The application of physics formulas must take into account its applicable conditions and scope,otherwise there will be cases where it is mathematically correct to have no physical meaning.Finally,combining the needs and difficulties,in the final section of the paper,we discuss the principles and strategies for infiltrating mathematical thinking in high school physics teaching.Firstly,infiltration of mathematics in physics should follow the principles of systematic planning,gradual and orderly,repeated penetration,and organic integration.In teaching,mathematics should be infiltrated in every stage of teaching preparation,teaching process,and after-class evaluation.It is also necessary to infiltrate teaching in various types of courses.Teachers should become guides for students,and they must also be good examples.In the teaching process,we need to combine mathematics and physics,intentionally.
