The requirement of the new round of curriculum reform is that school education should make a foundation for cultivating the comprehensive and innovative talents. Integrated curriculum is becoming one of the trends of curriculum reform. Geography is a comprehensive course cross the two fields including nature and humanity, so it has huge influence of students’ comprehensive and innovative ability. Mathematics is a fundamental tool course and it is the most commonly used tool in learning of other subjects. Also, mathematical thinking method is one of the essences of mathematics. There are many key and difficult points in the geography textbook1which all have contacts with mathematical thinking method. But they have not been made full use of in the traditional teaching process. In this paper, the author hopes to make a beneficial exploration of the infiltration of mathematical thinking method in the process of high school geography teaching. This paper is consist of three partsThe first part introduce some basic ideas of this paper. First, it elaborates the reasons for asking questions. Then, it describes the necessity of study through the inspection and comparison of data. Finally, it provides the research methods of this paper.The second part is the main body of this paper. Firstly, it provides theory basis for the teaching of discipline infiltration through reading and studying education and psychology and analyzes the feasibility of discipline infiltration. Then it analyzes and studies the current situation of it from the survey of related researches, teacher questionnaires and student interviews. Finally, through the study of materials of geography textbook1, the author arranges the specific content suitable for the infiltration of mathematical thinking method and gives specific teaching cases.The third part is the conclusion. It discusses some problems which should be paid attention to in the process of geography teaching with the infiltration of mathematical thinking method. Then it puts forward some solutions to them. Finally, the author makes a reflection on this research and analyzes the inadequacies of the paper. Also, the author hopes to make a further research in the later teaching process.
