Case Management Intervenes In Study Of Psychological Assistance By Vagrants And Beggars

It has been more than ten years since China’s rescue system was transferred from its former detention and repatriation to the current humanistic rescue management.Among these,China’s rescue work for vagrants and beggars has been advanced in continuous exploration and has achieved tremendous results.The vagrants and beggars are able to receive meticulous and comprehensive care within the government’s rescue management station.Although material aid has more perfect,their psychological problems and needs have little attention and satisfaction.So psychological assistance is equally important.Therefore,the relief work for vagrants and beggars can not only be in the material assistance,that is to say that only meets their basic needs for life and survival,the psychological relief for vagrants and beggars also needs to keep pace with the times to provide help and support,eliminate their bad feelings,correct the bad behavior,find their own potential,form a positive and healthy mentality,and eventually return to society and family.The purpose of this study is to promote the state and society to pay attention to the psychological aspects of the tramps and beggars,and make the way of salvation and the main body of assistance more diversified.It has the significance of enriching the research results of the vagrants and beggars and promoting the case management to better intervene in the field of social assistance.Through the research methods of literature research and field investigation,the article uses the practical method of case management to integrate the related resources of other departments to solve the psychological problems of the tramps and beggars in combination with the psychological assistance practice carried out by the social working institutions of the rescue management station in A city of Guangxi.It also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of case management in the psychological assistance of vagrants and beggars,summarizes the problems faced by them,and puts forward feasible suggestions.This study found that there are some psychological problems such as anxiety,inferiority,indifference,fragile,emotional instability and others in cognition,emotion,and behavior of vagrants and beggars,which is mainly from the influence of different factors such as individuals,families and society.Those are related to family environment and past experiences very much.Using case management method,social work achieved ideal effect in the specific rescue process,verified the great advantage of specialty and theory when facing complex problems and multiple needs of service objects.It also found that there are some problems in the intervention process such as the lack of cooperation coordination mechanism and of continuity of social work services for vagrants and beggars,and puts forward the following suggestions such as establishing and perfecting of cooperation coordination mechanism and improving the information transmission platform for vagrants and beggars and promoting the continuity of social work,etc.As a new method of working in our country,case management has a certain innovation and advantages in the field of social assistance,but it also needs to be adjusted according to the actual conditions of our country and can not copy the western methods.At the same time,the case management requires the social workers to have a strong comprehensive quality and ability to face many kinds of roles and deal with complex and diverse problems.Therefore,the development and improvement of this method need to continue to sum up experience and theory in practice,and promote this method to play a greater role in the social work practice.
