Research On The Impact Of Internet On Social Work Services And The Development Trend Of Social Work Services

The influences of the Internet on social life are gradually evolving and deepening,which not only bring great convenience to people and promote productivity,but also has tremendous impacts on all walks of life.Apparently,the research on social science must face those changes and impacts.On this basis,the author mainly discusses following issues:social changes caused by the popularity of the Internet and formation of Cyberspace;the impact of the Internet on social work.;responses of social work to social changes and new social problems.Lastly,from an interdisciplinary perspective and based on previous researches,the author explores into new development tendencies of social work service.The author uses the interview method and case study method as the main method of this research.The Internet has changed people's life and habits;it has greatly increased the opportunities for people to work,study,entertain,socialize and get all kinds of help and support;it builds up the Cyberspace which is becoming another important field for people's life and intercommunication.Influences of the Internet on social work are multi-layered.Internet has dual attribute of“tool”and“field”.As a“tool”,Internet technology is conducive to improving the quality and efficiency of social work services;as a "field",the Cyberspace raises higher requirements and expectations on how to use professional methods and skills in social work services.Facing changes and influences brought by Internet,the author believes that the Social Work should be improved in several aspects,including increasing the influence of the profession,improving Internet literacy of social workers,perfecting assessment mechanism of social work services and updating The Guidelines on Ethics of Social Workers as soon as possible.Besides,the author also investigates several innovative cases on social work service and tries to summarize the new trend of social work service in the Internet era,with a view to providing certain theoretical reference for the development of social work in China.In addition,social work,as one of the participating subjects of social governance,plays an important role in Cyber governance,but if relevant ideas and methods are not timely updated,the functions and values of social work cannot be better presented.Therefore,in the Internet era,the Social Work profession is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges.Social work must keep improving its ideas and methods,actively respond to new social problems and changes and update working methods and service modes,so as to gain further development.
