The Research On The Selection And Teaching Of The Vocabularies In Chinese And Easy Steps To Chinese

According to the pertinency,there must has the differences between the Chinese teaching that focus on the ethnic Chinese and the Chinese teaching that focus on the non-Chinese students.Based on these differences,this paper analyzes the vocabularies of Chinese(for Primary School)and Easy Steps to Chinese(for Kids and the 1-2 copies of the Edition for Teenager).The study found that: 1)In terms of the amount,the distribution of vocabulary in Chinese is superior to that in Easy Steps to Chinese,but the total amount of the vocabulary in Chinese is too much,Easy Steps to Chinese is more reasonable.2)In terms of the difficulty,the popularization words occupy the main part in two textbooks,but the amount of them still need to be increased.The control of the non-level words is good,but the advanced words in Chinese are too much.3)In terms of the repetition rate,Chinese is superior to Easy Steps to Chinese.However,there are too few words with the repetition rate that more than 6 times,so the repetition rate of vocabulary should be improved.4)As for the culture-loaded words,the number and category of culture-loaded words in Chinese are more than those in Easy Steps to Chinese.Easy Steps to Chinese can add more words which are simple and commonly used,and Chinese should decrease some words that less commonly used and have the sensitive meaning.According to the results,this paper puts forward some suggestions for the vocabulary selection of textbooks.Besides,I analyses the differences of the words' teaching between the Chinese teaching that focus on the ethnic Chinese and the Chinese teaching that focus on the nonChinese students.By this research,I hope this paper can give some useful advices to the compilation of two textbooks and the words' teaching of two kinds of teaching.
