Museum-School Co-operation is an innovation movement of museums and international education in the last century.It not only embodies the adjustment of the schools' functions and the trend of international education reform,but also reflects the common attributes and educational transformation of modern museums.In recent years,with the educational function of museums rising as their primary function,and the effectiveness of popular science education in museums is an important indicator of whether or not their educational function is realized.Because Students are the most important part of museums,museum education and school education should form a kind of good cooperative relationship.Therefore,the exploration of the present situation of Museum-School Co-operation is very instructive to practice.This article mainly adopts the sampling study method.In recent years,based on the experiences of cultural cities in the West and in our country,the educational activities of Museum-School Co-operation in the middle and western cities have been carried out well and achieved good educational results.The author selected the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum and Chongqing Museum of Natural History as samples,because they are the most representative natural-science museums in the southwestern region,at the same time,the supporting staff of them and elementary and middle school teachers in the Chongqing urban area who participated in the cooperation activities filled in the questionnaire.The author selected some of educators in Chongqing Science and Technology Museum and science teachers in primary school for interviewing,who participate deeply in the "Collaboration".Through literature analysis,questionnaire surveys,interviews and other methods,the author analyzes and summarizes the problems existing in Museum-School Co-operation,and then put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.The full text is divided into five chapters.The author combs the background,research status and related concepts of Museum-School Co-operation in the first chapter.Through The literature analysis,the author clears the history of the development of the Museum-School Co-operation,introduces the excellent cases at home and abroad,sums up the main model of Museum-School Co-operation,and analyzes the significance of Museum-School Co-operation,in the second chapter.The author introduces the questionnaires and interviews of and analyzes the present situation and problems of Museum-School Co-operation in the third chapter,including the lack of professionals,low utilization of museum resources,lacking relations between the content of the course in Museum-School Co-operation and school curriculum,and lacking the complete evaluation system.The author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures for the existing problems of Museum-School Co-operation based on literature analysis and survey results in the fourth chapter,including to strengthen training of teachers and museum scientific educators training,to utilize museum resources in various ways,to research and development the courses in Museum-School Co-operation relating with school science curriculum,and to establish a scientific and objective evaluation system.
