Research On The Application Of Social Planning Approach

As one of the three models of community work,social planning approach is a kind of working mode which can be used to solve complex problems in the community.In the social planning approach,social workers play the role of experts and plan services from top to bottom for community residents.The social planning approach is highly practical in theory.At present,the sexual assault cases of rural children are constantly exposed,which is a social problem that cannot be neglected.It is imminent to prevent children from sexual assault.In order to explore the actual effect of social planning approach in solving complex community problems and serving the residents,the researcher took the prevention of child sexual assault in rural areas as an example to test the applicability of social planning approach in practice and promote its local application.In the process of applying social planning approach to prevent sexual assault in rural children,the researcher took the Q community in Taiyuan as the practice site and planned the project of "SAY NO" to prevent children from sexual assault in rural areas.In the early stage of the project,the researcher made a survey about 7-14 years old children and their parents in the Q community to know that how they protect children from sexual assault and to defined their anti-sexual assault needs.During the mid-term of the project,the researcher linked the local resources and provided 6 preventive activities for the primary school of Q community.At the end of project,the researcher summarized relevant experience by evaluating the project effectiveness.The research results show that the social planning approach has certain applicability in preventing rural children from sexual assault,and the primary schools of Q community,children and their parents have higher satisfaction with projects.The "SAY NO" project has explored an effective way to prevent children from sexual assault in rural areas,and has also accumulated valuable experience for promoting the local application of social planning approach.
