Chinese textbook is not only the carrier of knowledge,but also the carrier ofvalue.Compilers choose what content into the textbooks, students through these contentgets to learn what, which obviously contains cultural value orientation.With today’s globalbasic education curriculum reform wave,the power of human nature is being paid moreand more intention. Revealing the value of textbook by analyzing the characters is a goodway of textbook research. Primary school students are especially attracted by the image ofchild in textbook.The personality or quality reflected by the image will affect the growthof students. Since the founding of the PRC, with the changing times, many versions ofChinese Textbooks in our country,JiangSu textbook is one version of the textbooks.Proving the evolution of this value orientation is of great significance on mining theprofound implication of the language textbooks and optimizing the compilation oftextbooks. So this paper takes JiangSu primary school Chinese Book1-12as the researchobject, method of thematic research through quantitative analysis, the text, choose tochildren, the characters as the research starting point, carries on the research of textbookvalue orientation,and What kind of image of the child in textbooks? The present socialexpectation to children is what or embodied in the image of children is what culturalvalues,These provide what enlightenment for compiling Chinese textbook; how we shouldpay attention to the image of the child from the teaching of cultural value.
