Human society has entered the information age,the Internet information technology more and more applications in the field of education and teaching,is changing the traditional education mode,process and organization,the relationship between teaching and learning,the role of teachers work methods have changed,the social information of university teachers had to have higher expectations.The cultivation of college teachers with high skill,high level,high quality and high moral level is the inevitable requirement of the development of the school.First of all,this paper mainly expounds the research background,research questions,research significance,research methods and research content.Then,it summarizes the concepts of "information literacy","information literacy evaluation criteria" and "the present situation of University Teachers’ information literacy" at home and abroad,and expounds their own opinions in this regard.The key part of this research is through a questionnaire,through the validity test,questionnaire survey on teachers of Hunan Agricultural University,obtained the dimensions of teachers’ information literacy and the total scores,and makes a brief analysis of the status quo,and according to the demographic variables: gender,age,education,professional training,and four times respectively.The dimension of information literacy: information awareness,information knowledge,information ability,information moral difference analysis,based on the status quo and difference analysis,attribution analysis,sorting out the information literacy needs to be improved for five reasons: Teachers’ teaching and scientific research pressure and the atmosphere,lack of Education and technical training needs perfect and incentive measures are not perfect,still need to strengthen the teachers’ knowledge reserve.Finally,the paper puts forward effective countermeasures and suggestions.
