Strategy Research On Cultivating Information Literacy For Physical Education Teacher In University

The development of a nation depends on the education. The development of the education depends on teacher. As the rapid development of information in modern society and information is becoming the most important element in every field. Namely, information literacy which information ability is the key point will become the important tool of individual cognition in the information age. It is a kind of important basic skill like reading, writing and counting. The whole nation should strengthen the education of information literacy in information age. Teacher who is the initiator of education and the transfer of knowledge should firstly have the ability of comprehensive information literacy. PE teachers' information literacy is lower than the teachers of other subjects, they have the problem which they can understand the importance of the information literacy, but they can't practice it. In some degree, it has influenced the development of PE and the improvement of PE teachers' comprehensive literacy. It is a sort of very difficult and important task how to cultivate the information literacy of PE teacher in university.The thesis consults a lot of sources and uses several research methods like literature, investigation, statistics and analysis comparison .The thesis deeply analyzes the situation of information literacy, the need to cultivate information literacy, indicates the questions and gives some suggestions of cultivating information literacy for PE teacher in university.The thesis includes five parts. The initiatory three parts introduce the background on the education of information literacy, the connotation of information literacy and the need to cultivate information literacy for the PE in university and discuss the common theory and practical significance of the cultivation of information literacy. Fourthly it investigates some PE teachers in Chongqing through using freely optional method and analyzes the result of investigation and finds out the problems.
