| The conflict between the inherent needs of children’s nature and current regional activities in the music reminds us the attention of teacher support.This study responds to the three basic psychological needs of children in the self-determination theory(SDT)(capability needs,attribution needs,and autonomy needs)by providing three types of support for teachers: cognitive support,emotional support,and autonomous support.Refer to the "3-6-year-old Children’s Learning and Development Guide","Kindergarten Education Guidance Outline" and other documents to sort out and summarize the main content and framework of teachers support in the music regional activities.The study was combined actual observations and questionnaire surveys.On the one hand,the researcher selected 2 kindergartens(a kindergarten be good at music,an ordinary kindergarten)to observe the individual cases,which described the teachers’ actual support in the 16 music regional activities.On the other hand,the research investigated 206 kindergarten teachers’ cognition and support levels by using "Shanghai Teacher Music Regional Activity Teacher Support Survey Questionnaire".The two-part data combined to analyze the status quo of teacher support in the current Shanghai music regional activities.The results of the study indicate that teachers’ autonomous support in the current Shanghai regional music activities is relatively well.However,cognitive support and emotional support need to be improved.Among them,teachers’ independent support includes “supporting young children’s independent choices and decisions” and “supporting young children’s new gameplay and trials”;teachers’ cognitive support like “providing appropriate activity materials” and “supporting young children’s acquisition of music experiences” need to be improved.In the emotional support of teachers,"love,respect of young children,and establishment of safe attachment and ownership" are relatively good,but "actively participating in music regional activities" and "giving children positive feedback" have yet to be improved.The article further analyzes the influencing factors of teacher support and proposes corresponding suggestions for teachers and institutions. |
