The Group Work's Ideality And The Ideal Group Work

The aging of the population and the rapid development of the Internet society are two prominent features of the 21 st century.When we enjoy the convenience brought by the Internet,the elderly population has always been at the edge of the online society.The domestic and foreign researches have shown that the participation of the elderly in the online society can expand the elderly's social support,social participation and social networks,enrich the spiritual life of the elderly,and have a positive effect on their mental health.Group work is one of the professional methods of social work.It can support and meet the needs of the elderly in different stages,situations,moods,and environments.It provides opportunities for older members to learn new adaptive behaviors and is therefore often used to serve the elderly.This article uses the “We-Chat empowers the sunset red” elderly We-Chat teaching group as an example,adopts a method of action research,and participates in and reflects on the gap between the “ideal of the group” and the target's achievement in the process of the group,and analyzes its internal The reasons for the tension and its occurrence are to examine and reflect the practical use of the theory and method of group work,and to enhance the workers' theoretical and practical abilities.The results of the study show that there is a long way to go between the ideals and practices of social workers and clients in the We-Chat teaching group on group rules,group needs,team games,group cohesion,and the role of social workers.Workers in the needs assessment,role-building,team planning and design,the group's leadership and intervention,such as the use of professional methods and skills in the deficiencies,but also elderly service objects to the group's social work understanding and expectations of different guidance.This study believes that the "ideal group" work needs to be promoted from the following three aspects: laying a good foundation for theory,improving practical skills,and increasing social identity.
