Textbook occupies an indispensable and important position in today's teaching.The function of the textbook depends mainly on how teachers use them.Teachers use textbook as an important part of the implementation of teacher's curriculum,Under the background of the deepening of the current curriculum and teaching reforms,an in-depth study of how primary school teachers use teaching materials in practical contexts will help to increase understanding of the practical activities of primary school teachers at the micro level,at the same time,it also provides inspiration for deepening the progress of curriculum reform,the development of teachers' professional development theory and the resolution of practical problems.This study adopts the perspective of interaction between “teachers and textbook”.Based on theoretical research,it constructs a theoretical framework that characterizes the use of teaching materials for primary school teachers,and then selects 458 primary school teachers across the country,through the use of questionnaires and depth interview,to answer the two research questions of “how is the status quo of using textbook for primary school teachers” and “what are the factors influencing the use of textbook for primary school teachers”?The research findings of this study are as follows:(1)Primary school teachers mostly use “vivid Characterization”,and tend to adjust orientation;(2)There is no obvious relationship between primary school teachers' usage of textbook and gender;(3)Different teaching age teachers use different types of using textbook.Novice teachers and experienced teachers rely on textbook;(4)Due to the different nature of the discipline,there are differences in the use of textbooks for primary school teachers;(5)Township and county teachers are more inclined to use “replication”;(6)There are regional differences in the use of textbooks for primary school teachers;(7)The combination of multiple factors affects the use of textbooks by primary school teachers.Based on the research findings of this study,the following suggestions are proposed for the textbook composer,the teachers,the school and the relevant education departments and future researchers:(1)The textbook composer should optimize the selection and arrangement of textbook contents and building teachers-textbook editors multiple communication platform;(2)Schools and education administrative departments to strengthen infrastructure construction,making full use of information platform;strengthening the use of textbook training,focusing on the integration of theory and practice;implementing teacher mobility measures,strengthening the construction of rural teachers,reducing the gap between urban and rural teachers' level;(3)Teachers should pay attention to self-professional growth and optimize the use of textbook;based on student learning,improve the level of the use of textbook;(4)The future research can be in-depth exploration and exploration in research methods,research objects,research content and research variables.
