Life science has made remarkable achievements in recent decades,and has become one of the most active disciplines in the 21st century.This put forward higher requirements on the quality of personnel training in the field of life science in our country,thus the biology teaching of basic education needs to advance with the times.At the beginning of 2018,the curriculum standard of biology in general high school(2017 Edition)issued by the Ministry of Education first put forward the concept of"focusing on big concepts" in its basic ideals.The principle of "less but better" is to let students get rid of the memory of isolated biological facts and concepts,be active learning,understand and apply the core concepts of biology,and develop the core qualities of biology.The 5E instructional model is an important educational mode in the field of science education.It is based on the Atkin-Karplus Learning Circle and is intended to help students achieve conceptual change and scientific concepts construction.Since the late 1980s,this instructional model has been applied and occupied a very important position in the overall curriculum design of BSCS.Based on this thinking,this paper puts forward the research project of teaching strategies in core concept of biology based on 5E instructional model,and hopes to provide some reference for the core concept of biology teaching.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part mainly introduces the background,purpose and the significance of the research.The second part carries on the relevant concept definition and the summary of research status at home and abroad.The third part investigates the application status of 5E instructional model in the core concept teaching of biology.In the fourth part,the teaching strategies of the 5E instructional model in the biology classroom were proposed through the literature study and the results of the questionnaire analysis.In the fifth part,two teaching cases based on 5E instructional model were designed and analyzed.
